Crytek Crisis: Employees are Leaving and Suing

At least one is suing, but hey, there could be more.

The Crytek Crisis seems to be back in full swing: we’ve already reported that employees haven’t been getting paid over the past few months in all of their offices, and Crytek has characteristically been silent about the whole ordeal. However, their silence is probably going to break soon, as one of their disgruntled ex-employees now plans to sue the company for all the lost wages… and is going to GoFundMe in an effort to raise the money needed to hire the lawyer they’ll need to take their company to court.

“Crytek has failed to pay salaries on time starting May 2016. Ever since May this year, salaries have been delayed. Today as I’m creating this GoFundMe campaign, 14th December 2016, it was 58 days since Crytek paid me my September salary. Two whole months have failed to make it to my account. The last salary I got was one month late.”

Now, the GoFundMe campaign has been… less than inspired so far, with only 25 euros raised, but it’s indicative of a wider problem sweeping the company. According to more sources coming from within Crytek, employees are leaving the company in droves, trusting in future lawsuits and the German government to cover for their missing paychecks.

This is moving much faster than the first wave of the Crytek Crisis if these reports are true. That would make sense, given the history here, but it would be nice to hear something solid and definitive, rather than more reports that are nearly impossible to verify. We’ll keep you posted as things develop.
