Hidetaka Suehiro, the creator of Deadly Premonition, has announced a new title under his new studio, White Owl. Suehiro released a video that's 50 percent game teaser and 50 percent dev talk. In it, he talks about what The Missing is and that it will be coming to console later this year.
In the video, Suehiro talks about what The Missing is about while expressing a personal faith in the game.
"The title, 'The Missing', has many meanings. A missing person, someone who's lost, or even something lost. Maybe it's your loved one, or a place you belong. Do you ever feel lost in your everyday life? The Missing is for someone like you."
This will be the first game to come from White Owl, Suehiro's new studio. he founded the studio after leaving Access Games in 2016. Arc System Works will be publishing the title, which is expected later this year.
Before The Missing, Suehiro had plans for an eccentric game about cats, called "The Good Life." Unfortunately, the game failed to get the needed funding and was temporarily shelved. Last said, there are plans to fund the game via Kickstarter next year.
Aside from some lovely shots of nature and animals followed by blood and the moon, we know nothing about The Missing. More details are sure to be revealed as we approach the currently unknown release date.
