Crash Bandicoot, the classic 3D platformer of previous generations, continues to come back in full force. We've seen modern remakes of the originals, a new sequel, and now it's getting an official mobile game. Introducing Crash Bandicoot: On the Run.
On the Run will play similarly to the original Crash games. The player will progress forward along a linear path, dodging enemies and obstacles and using their abilities to defeat cartoonish bosses.
Unlike the original games, this one follows the Temple Run idea of not being able to stop running, keeping gameplay in a fast-paced state. Players will also be able to craft weapons to help them, play cooperatively with friends, and customize their character.
Crash Bandicoot: On the Run will be available for iOS and Android devices. Pre-registering will grant the player an exclusive reward. We suspect that it's a character skin.
Outside of that, not much else was revealed about the game. We don't know when it will launch, if it will cost anything, and what kind of microtransactions it may or may not utilize.
All things considered, this looks like just another endless runner mobile game, something the world has seen enough of already. We're not holding our breath about this one.
