Meow meow meow meow, purr... that's the sound of another cat game, heading your way! Introducing the furocious indie title, The Cat Machine.

Admittedly, the first thing I thought upon hearing the title is a half-cat, half-robot platformer. But, I'm incredibly wrong.

So, to discuss the plot, we all are well aware of some very secret underground machine run by the Illuminati that controls the stability of Earth. To run this machine, cats of various colors ride around on trains, because that's what they've done since the dawn of time.

Yes, cats are the first organisms (actually, the first anything) on Earth, for without them, Earth wouldn't have existed. So whatever you do, don't pay attention to those history books. Moving forward, Cranktrain decides to hand you a nifty, all-access pass to take a look at this Cat Machine, but at a price--you look, you control.

Don't worry, you'll have a guide though. Named Science Cat, a sardonic, often clueless cat will sometimes help you along the way. With over 50 levels, you must solve construction puzzles by laying tracks to help the multi-colored cats choo-choo on the right path. Mess up, and you'll pretty much doom the entire planet. Just saying, so, you know, no pressure.

The Cat Machine has recently been added on Steam Greelight and is available for direct pre-order here. Early adopters can take part in the "Cat Enlistment Scheme," receiving the bonus of having a cat of their choice featured in the game!

So... even a Ragamuffin kitty!?

According to Cranktrain, "Interested cats are advised to contact their local human."

As for a release date, there doesn't seem to be one quite yet.

Overall, The Cat Machine will feature:
  • 50+ Levels
  • Cats
  • Cats on Trains
  • Science Cats
  • Alarmed Cats
  • Puzzled Cats
  • Singing Cats
  • Flying Cats
