The finale is here. XSEED games has announced the release of Heavenly Host Elementary's final chapter, which is today, October 13. The PlayStation Vita exclusive Corpse Party: Blood Drive also marks the first in the series to have a physical edition released, titled the "Everafter Edition." The standard edition is also available, but for only PSN.

For those that need a quick recap, Blood Drive is the supernatural, fully-3D horror follow-up to Corpse Party: Book of Shadows. Since Blood Drive's predecessors, Heavenly Host has been rebuilt from the ground up to suit the new 3D style. New gameplay systems have been added to create a deeper and more nerve-wracking experience within the already gruesome and unsettling environment. Please do look forward to a dynamic lighting system emphasized by a flashlight, talismans designed to protect the player from harm, traps requiring disarmament, limited dashing, and so much more.

What also makes a return are the authentic and convincing Japanese voiceovers, binaural 3D audio that will continue to haunt your ears, and, of course, the "Darkening" system--the system altered by frightening events that could ultimately lead to the player's demise. Also anticipate voice actor interviews, art, and music.

Blood Drive itself unfolds within 11 deep, large chapters and eight supplemental chapters, which will close the story for good and answer essential questions that have been nagging at players' minds for quite awhile now.

Rated "M" for Mature--and for very good reason--the standard edition for Corpse Party: Blood Drive can now be purchased for $39.99 on the PlayStation Store. The physical Limited "Everafter" Edition, which contains a two-disc compilation of songs from all three Corpse Party titles and a "Dying Art" grimoire that contains over 100 pages of Corpse Party artwork, is also available for $49.99 at retailers.
