some things I've added for the new content update:
*new "town event" in winter
*new type of collection that you can start in your first winter
*Signs (can display any item on them)
*More outdoor decorations (some change w/ season)
*More NPC "events"
*A way to re-spec professions
These things consist almost entirely of social and quality of life changes. And with a game like this, those are the best kind of updates to have. The Stardew Valley community is ecstatic about the still strong updating that's happening to the game post-launch.
Stardew Valley released not too long ago (October 5) on the Nintendo Switch. The portability of the Switch proved to be an extremely desirable trait for the game, leading many critics to consider it the game's "true home."
The most anticipated update will be for multiplayer implementation. The developers plan to add the ability to play cooperatively with friends, though a solid date for that hasn't been established.
You can get Stardew Valley on Steam, GOG, Humble Store, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch for $14.99.
