Coleco is coming back!?

Not that I actually know Coleco, but the company was widely known for manufacturing the Colecovision. Either way, the company is returning after having formed a partnership with Retro Video Game Systems. So what's going to come of it? Well, a cartridge-based game console that is called the Coleco Chameleon, and truth be told, it doesn't look half bad at all, even though probably a little awkward with the sticks being placed above the buttons and directional pads.

Now here's something cool. It's a "versatile new video game system that serves as a modern day take on a classic game console."

In other words, be prepared to be able to play all your 8-, 16-, and 32-bit titles, because frankly, retro gaming is growing.

According to Retro Video Game Systems president Mike Kennedy stated that the console is more or less a "love-letter" to retro gaming systems.

"It will take gamers and their families back to a simpler time where games were all about great gameplay and fun factor."

But what about the pricing? You probably want your hands on this, but the pricing is unknown, though it will be "significantly more affordable than the first go-around," according to the console devs on Twitter.

I want to guess that the first wave will be priced at $150, but later waves will possibly be priced at $75. I don't know, retro consoles nowadays have been known to be far cheaper than their current gen counterparts.
