One thing I can’t help about Code Vein, which is basically bloodborne but Anime, is that it tends to have really long trailers. Like, their fourth trailer, which I’ve embedded below, is six minutes long.

And it’s a good six minutes, even if it is all in Japanese. When the English version comes out, it’ll probably be chalk full of information about the game’s story and lore, which has thusfar been rather sparse.



But we’re not here to talk about the lore or anything, because I’m not Japanese and I can’t make any sense of this. Rather, I’m here to point out at the very end that an official release date is given for the game: for the first time ever, pending any delays, we know that Code: Vein is set to launch on September 28th of this year.

So it’s not that far off! Good to hear, I’ll be waiting to play it on baited breath to see how well the formula translates into an anime style… and who my anime vampire waifu will be, of course.
