The one thing it did have was Gears of War founder and all-around person, Cliff Bleszinski, who acted as the founder and figurehead of Boss Key. Given his high-profile status within the games industry and the investment he had in the studio, it was a little bit surprising that he’d been so quiet following the death of his studio-baby. Well, as it turned out there was a reason for that, and the reason is: money!
Or, rather, his ability to milk the situation for money. Although according to Twitter, he’s calling it a “book”:
I haven't done any interviews since Boss Key imploded because I needed to tell it in my own words, in my book. Did that today. Felt good, like that chapter in my life was finally closed. ❤️
He revealed this book (which will be released “When. It’s. Done.” by his own words) would detail the closing of Boss Keys, of course, but would also go into more detail about Cliff’s life as a whole, including chapters dedicated to his first marriage, his relationship with his wife, and the death of his father and nephew. Which sounds… cool? I guess? The stuff around Boss Keys would probably be interesting, but I admit I don’t know or care enough about ol’ Cliffy B to find the other details of his life especially engaging.
But hey. That’s just me. The rest of ya’ll can enjoy the finished product. When. It’s. Done.
