In any case, he’s back in the news, but this time it’s not because he’s making wildly unverifiable claims about why Boss Keys failed. This time, it’s because he’s announced over Twitter he’s working on a new IP. And since he is a video game person, I’m sort of obligated to care.
Here are the Tweets:
I'm noodling on a new IP during this lockdown. I don't know what it'll wind up being - a movie or game or graphic novel or TV series. But... I'm working. Forgot how fun it was to name characters and craft a world!
oh it involves dogs ;)
Based on the Twitter reaction, people aren’t terribly excited for this new movie/game/graphic novel/TV series. Still, the man has enough pedigree behind his name that he’ll probably be able to get it published in some form or another regardless what format he chooses. And considering how much disdain he seems to hold the video game industry in for the failures he suffered while founding Boss Keys studios, I would be genuinely surprised if he returned to it. So really, I had plenty of reason not to report on this, but why would I pass up an opportunity to not-so-subtly rag on a guy who I consider something of a silly billy?
Either way, my money is that it’s something to do with superheroes.
