In particular, the emulator I would like to refer to is CEMU, a Wii U emulator that is improving by the day. Almost a day ago, a video uploader posted The Legend of Zelda: Breath of Wild gameplay on the CEMU emulator. Needless to say, it's impressive to view on an emulator. Here is the link since I can't exactly embed it in this article.
According to that same video uploader:
"Video was recorded on following specs: i7-4790K, GTX 780, 8GB RAM. I choose to not alter the speed of the video to best represent how it actually runs. But I did prepare a shader cache so there is no extra suttering. Audio is muted because it is just white noise.
Lots of bugs that make the game unplayable. Physic glitches, rune abilities that require object selection don't work, no water collision, etc. Essentially it's impossible to leave the tutorial area without using a save."
According to the developer's Patreon, reported via Reddit:
"Zelda will probably be in a state where you can play it from start to finish in 2-4 months (so lets say 2 because the Cemu devs are just crazy fast and probably use some kind of magic =P)."
Interesting to see how CEMU is running with current games.
