According to a tweet by creator Matt Thorson, new content would be coming to the game soon as "farewell levels."
"We're working on some farewell Celeste levels, which should be ready in early 2019. They're very hard. And we'll be announcing what's next for us in the new year as well. See you in 2019 :)"
This news comes alongside the announcement of a new Collector's Edition of the game. Set to release with the new year, it comes with a physical copy of the game, a sticker sheet, a Celeste Mountain patch, poster, postcard, steel book case, OST cassette, and a plush strawberry. They're even including a recipe for strawberry pie. It's being produced by Limited Run with a release on January 1, 2019.
For those who don't own a cassette player anymore, there will also be a download code for the soundtrack. Composed by Lena Raine, it's also available on vinyl as a separate purchase.
Celeste Collector's Edition will cost $75 on PlayStation 4 and $80 on Nintendo Switch. Limited to 2,500 copies, it goes on sale on January 1, 2019.
