CD Projekt Red, the developers behind the Witcher series, is confirmed to be in attendance at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). However, the confirmation has been rather low key.
Reddit user bronzin54 made the discovery. They noticed that the studio appears on the Participating Companies ticker on the E3 website.
Unfortunately, this could mean anything. Since CD Projekt Red themselves have not made an announcement pertaining to the convention, fans are left to guess towards their intent. The Studio is best known for their Witcher series of fantasy RPGs, and to a lesser degree, the card game spin-off. So it would make sense to be about that.
It might also be in relation to their in-development Cyberpunk RPG, Cyberpunk 2077. Especially considering the Twitter account's recent (and confusing) resurrection. Odds are that this is where the studio's efforts have been focused on the most, so an announcement about it won't be a surprise.
At the same time, it could be something much less exciting. CD Projekt Red is a big enough name that attending the event could simply be a formality. Their activity could be limited to small-scale updates and business inquiries. Or even worse, for nothing more than to stay relevant.
Regardless of why, all we have to go off of is that they are, in fact, attending. You can speculate all you like, but we presumably won't know until the expo itself.
