The team will consist of 18 industry veterans from Strange New Things, another polish studio. The extra manpower will help the developers make the final push for the release of Cyberpunk 2077. Poland being a growing technological scene, they will now be able to recruit talent from the area without asking for relocation.
CD Projekt Red president Adam Kiciński had this to say.
Wrocław is one of the biggest and most technologically advanced cities in Poland and a playing field for serious creative talent. I think the scope of our current and future projects, as well as the overall package were bringing in, will pull in people who were hesitant to move to Warsaw or Cracow.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was a massive success, and the developers have spent years dedicated to its support. More recently they have moved their efforts towards Cyberpunk 2077, which they initially teased about back in 2013. With a dedicated following and a fantastic history, it's a good time to be part of their team.
