CD Projekt Red, the game studio known for The Witcher game series, has made an announcement this morning concerning the status of the company. Rumors had been spreading that morale was low as a result of no reported progress of its upcoming title, Cyberpunk 2077.
The tweet contains an image with about five paragraphs of text; it begins with the company acknowledging that rumors are happening. The company goes on to explain that it is actually growing and is not laying off employees. This is assumed to be in response to last November's statement, when the lead designer for GWENT: The Witcher Card Game resigned.
CD Projekt Red continues by saying - with some verbosity - that game development takes them a while.
It's clear that CD Projekt Red's silence worried fans, and they recognize that. So overall, there is no need to be concerned; they're just hard at work.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be a sci-fi RPG that shines a spotlight on androids, though not much is known outside of that. The trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 lists the release date as "When It's Ready" - a fitting answer given the developer's approach to games.
