Castle Crashers is such a fun, cooperative game filled with colorful knights, kidnapped princesses, and intense persil, and it's even neater that it continues to receive updates. Indie game developer and publisher The Behemoth has just recently announced its next major update for Castle Crashers on Steam. Titled
"Barbarian Makeover," this addition is set for release
October 14, 2015, and it will be free... provided that you have the main game, of course.
The Barbarian Makeover update will include the following:
- New mini-game, Back Off Barbarian, which has you jumping all over the level to avoid the enemies. More or less, it's not about killing, it's more about chickening your way through levels. Unfortunately for those that care, this will be replacing All You Can Quaff.
- A new Ultra Graphics Mode, which actually implements higher textures than what you've been used to in Castle Crashers.
- An uncapped framerate.
- Updates to UI flow.
- And newfound support for the Russian language.
For those that own Castle Crashers on Steam, you will be receiving a notification for when the update is ready for download, but for whoever (miraculously) doesn't own the side-scrolling hack and slash title, you can always purchase Castle Crashers on the
Steam Store for $14.99.
