Cast of Live Action Resident Evil Series Revealed - E3 2021

Choosing the right cast for a live-action adaption can make or break a show. When the characters they represent already have an identity, it can be hard finding the right person for the job. Netflix is confident that theyve chosen the best for their upcoming Resident Evil series, with Lance Reddick leading the list.

The official main cast list for Netflixs upcoming Resident Evil show was revealed during the Netflix Geeked Week showcase held on Friday. They revealed (in order of left to right in the header image) Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, Lance Reddick, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph, and Paola Nuñez.

Reddick will be playing the role of Albert Wesker, the often antagonist of various video games and important factor in the development of the zombie T virus. Reddick is known for his roles in John Wick, The Wire, and Fringe. Hes also done voice work for games like Destiny and Horizon Zero Dawn. The other cast members roles were not clarified on.

The Netflix Resident Evil show is set to take place nearly 30 years after the discovery of the T virus. Each episode will be an hour long, with a planned total of 8 episodes. The same firm that produced the past films will be the power behind the series, with Andrew Dabb as writer, executive producer, and showrunner.

While seeing the cast helps gives us an idea visually, there is still much more yet to be seen about the show. Until we see more, were keeping a skeptical eye.
