Well if you're a fan of Pirates of the Carribean as I am, or even a fan of the Starz show Black Sails then you'll really enjoy this news as the game Caribbean! (Created by Snowbird Game Studios) has gone from Early Access to being a release version on Steam. The game is based on the Mount & Blade Warband game engine and features economic strategy inside as well as open world RPG mechanics. It's set in the 17th Century Caribbean.

Basically the game lets players create their own path and adventure. Those who wish to jump into battles or raids can do so in capturing enemy ships or if you'd like to become a mercenary who ascends to the top of the food chain then that is a possible path a player can take as well. A player can plan things out in terms of finance by making deals and expanding their enterprise by choosing to be either a merchant or businessman. Much wealth can be attained going this route. Or if you're not interested in fighting or taking over ships you can go invest in real estate.

Here are a few of the key features;
  • Naval battles with controllable ships and boarding fights
  • Building and management of commercial property in towns
  • Detailed crew and fleet management
  • Rank progression system for military and business options
  • Advanced order and control system for armies in land battles
Those who purchase the game within its first week of launch will receive a 15% base discount on Steam and GOG. Also, if you have M&B: Warband or M&B: With Fire & Sword within your account in either store mentioned then you'll get a bonus 10% discount in the first week of release.

Well, now, how about you check out the trailer matey...
