Capcom's Demon Crest Is Now Available on the Nintendo 3DS

A classic that should have been revived.

Lots of classic and amazing games have been added to the 3DS Virtual Console over the past few months. Since August alone, we've seen Mega Man X, Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers, Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Super Castlevania IV, Final Fight 3, Final Fight 2, Mega Man X2, Breath of Fire, Breath of Fire II, and as of December 8, 2016, Demon's Crest.

That's right, Demon's Crest, Capcom's lost-to-the-ages title for the Super Nintendo, has finally been added to the 3DS virtual console. The game, which is only playable in 2D, features the following tale:

"Firebrand must set off to recover the six magical stones of the Demon Crest before the realms of humans and demons fall into the hands of his evil nemesis, Phalanx. Breathe fire, claw walls and hover across seven intense levels as you fight to save the realms from eternal unrest!"

Definitely a title worth checking out, if you've never played (or even heard of) the series.

Demon's Crest for the New Nintendo 3DS is $7.99.

Check out the trailer, which is actually for the Wii U version, but just pretend it is the 3DS version.
