Unfortunate news falls upon Capcom Vancouver as a large number of staff members had been laid off. This has resulted in the canceling an unannounced project, as well as cutting back the scope for the next Dead Rising title.

This news comes to us from an anonymous source. The source claims that 50 of the 250 employees at Capcom Vancouver have been let go in an effort to streamline the company. This was also to help better manage the next Dead Rising game, which was understaffed and over-scoped.

While it's good to know that Dead Rising is being taken care of, the sacrifice came at the cost of another project. This game, which had yet to be announced, was going to be a third-person action-adventure game taking place in New York.

Capcom Vancouver is best known for their development of the 4 Dead Rising games, though they are also responsible for a number of mobile games (Such as Puzzle Fighter 2017).
