Even if you've never played a mobile game before, you've still most likely heard of Candy Crush. It's the game that both children and adults enjoy religiously. Personally, I've never played it, and I don't plan on it, but regardless, it's universally popular among a very diverse age group. Candy Crush is so popular, that Activision Blizzard bought the developer (King Digital Entertainment) for a whopping $5.9 million. That's pretty impressive for a simple mobile game.

Now, King is developing a new Call Of Duty mobile game. While this will not be the first mobile COD game, it's definitely bound to be very different from the previous games since it's being developed by a new team, with a lot more experience in the genre. No specifics have been given about how the game will actually work, but King has given us some very vague details. Without any actual specific information about how the game will work or what it will look like, it's pretty hard to guess how it will turn out considering the mobile game genre is pretty vague in itself.

According to its recruiting website:

"Our challenge as a team is to create a Call of Duty experience on mobile that will strive to transform the best console experience fans know and love, while breaking new ground for mobile and redefining the genre,"

King plans to create a mobile Call of Duty experience that fans will want to play "for years", which is a pretty bold statement considering we're talking about a game you play while you're on the bus or sitting on the toilet. Anyway, hopefully, King can deliver a more innovative experience than the previous mobile COD games. They certainly have the tools to do so.

Activision Blizzard is very busy at the moment, as they are also planning on releasing an extended film universe for the Call Of Duty franchise. They are working on multiple scripts already, and we could see the first movie in theaters within a year or so if all goes according to plan. Check out the details here.
