Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered Can be Purchased Without Pre-Order

So it has been confirmed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will be available for purchase by itself. In an article I wrote a short while ago, I assumed that the game would be released eventually without having to pre-order and that has just been officially confirmed. Since the debut of Infinite Warfare, it has been implied that the only way anybody could get a copy of Modern Warfare Remastered would be if they paid extra on the pre-order for Infinite Warfare. For one, this would be absolutely ridiculous. In the long run, the Call of Duty franchise would lose a ton of money if they had kept it this way. People that are short on cash on the day of release wouldn't be able to afford the extra pre-order cost, or perhaps even the launch day copy of Infinite Warfare, and $60 extra dollars would be flushed down the drain. For two, that is such a shady thing to do and the public would be extremely angered.

I'm very glad that this is happening. I had no intention in the world of buying the new Infinite Warfare, however I loved Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. To this day, that is still my favorite Call of Duty game and no CoD title has come anywhere close to claiming the "Number 1" spot in my heart. The remastered version will hopefully still feel like the original. I don't want to deal with all kinds of new stuff being added in. If you upgrade the graphics, that's awesome and is expected, but anything other than that, no. Just don't do it please.



While the game probably won't be available by itself on the release date for Infinite Warfare, I can't imagine it being longer than a one or two month wait. I'm hoping that they launch fairly close to one another so we have the chance to compare sales and see how many people are logged into each game. I can almost guarantee that Modern Warfare Remastered will crush Infinite Warfare in terms of online activity. Either way, you can pick up your copy of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare on November 4th, and hopefully Modern Warfare Remastered will be available a few short weeks after that.
