The Call of Duty franchise has another record-breaking title on its hands. On Thursday, Activision announced that Modern Warfare 3 had shattered a five-day sales record the studio had set previously with last year's title Call of Duty: Black Ops." According to a release from Activision, the game has made more than $775 million in its first week, as compared to the $650 million set by Black Ops.
I can't say that I'm really surprised by this due to the lead up to the game and the continuation of the story. Add to that the fact that it's near the holiday season and I imagine the demand will keep rising.
