Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Zombies Chronicles is not Standalone

Activision is a greedy, lazy company.

Being a huge fan of Zombies on Call of Duty, I was pretty excited when I heard about Zombies Chronicles. You get 8 of the most loved maps in Zombies history and the chance to set all new records. However, I will not be buying this because Activision has gone absolutely insane. Despite my love for the game mode, there's no way I can get myself to do it, and this will probably stop you as well.

For starters, this isn't a standalone title. You can't pick this up and play it all on its own. Zombies Chronicles is a part of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, and in order to play, you must own the CoD game. Right now, I'm still willing to play. I'm still down to get Black Ops 3 and log some serious hours into Zombies. Let's keep going though.

So, now we know that this is a DLC. It doesn't come with Black Ops 3, so we're going to have to drop a little cash on this pack. This is where I draw the line. Activision wants $29.99 USD for this DLC. Are you joking? This company honestly expects me to pay 60 bucks for their game, then drop an additional 30 bucks on this map pack? Activision, these aren't even new maps. These are old, recycled, weathered maps that I've already paid for in the past.

I am absolutely appalled by this price. I can't believe that this company is expecting me to buy a full game, plus a pack that is half the price of the full game, all for a bunch of maps that I've already purchased in the past. They didn't even need to do anything for these maps. The designs are already made and all they have to do is update them graphically. That would be like going to McDonald's and getting a burger for a dollar. Then the next day, they tear down the McDonald's and build a new one that looks a little fancier inside. I go in to buy a burger, and now it's fifteen dollars because I'm buying it from a new and improved McDonald's.

Do not ever increase the price of something you are just re-releasing. That is an absolutely terrible move, and now we can see even more clearly that this multi-million dollar company can't even be discrete about trying to rip people off.
