After much wait, publisher Focus Home Interactive has announced the release date for their upcoming horror RPG, Call of Cthulhu. The game will be releasing on consoles and PC on October 30 of this year.

The announcement was made via Twitter.

"Call of Cthulhu will begin the spread of madness on PS4, Xbox One and PC on October 30!

Uncover the chilling mysteries of our Narrative RPG, going deep into a world of inevitable insanity and shrouded Old Gods within Lovecrafts iconic universe."

Call of Cthulhu follows the endeavors of Edward Pierce in the year 1924. The private investigator was sent to look into the death of the Hawkins family on the isolated Darkwater Island. As Pierce dives deeper into the mysteries, he'll find inhospitable locals and unspeakable horrors.

The player will have more freedom than the original 1981 game. Will you find the truth by talking to locals, or searching solo? Will you find friends or evade enemies? The choice is yours.

Call of Cthulhu will release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 30. For more information, visit the game's official website.
