Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, the survival horror video game developed by Headfirst Productions and published by Bethesda Softworks, has been released DRM-free on GOG.com. Originally released in 2005, this version comes with a few changes, a low price of $4.99, and absolutely no DRM to worry about.

Based on the H.P. Lovecraft novel "The Call of Cthulhu", You take the role of Jack Walters. This private detective was hired to investigate the strange town of Innsmouth; His reality and sanity are brought to ripples before him as he discovers the horrors that lie within.

The GOG version of Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth will essentially be the same as its original PC and Xbox counterparts, with the exception of a few fixes:
  • Proper V-sync functionality
  • Triangle raindrops on AMD cards are fixed
  • The invisible sorcerers on the reef to appear properly (with thanks to user Guzz for the custom-made mod)
  • Restored skybox rendering (also provided by Guzz)
While these are nothing major, they do improve the overall quality of gameplay from the base game. You can find this version of Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth on GOG.com for only $4.99. Try and keep your wits about you.
