Bungie Trademarks New Game-Related Project, "Matter"

Pay attention, this matters.

For all extensive purposes, it seems as if Bungie is devoting all their time and energy on Destiny 2 and the extended Destiny franchise. Which makes sense, as they’re not the world’s biggest studio, making it hard for them to juggle multiple projects. Furthermore, Destiny is a big game with a lot of players, so it’s only natural they would continually release new content for it.

But it seems Bungie might not be a one-game studio for much longer, as the studio has filed a trademark for something called “Matter” under two categories: "computer game software" and "online entertainment services."

And that, combined with the header image which was submitted with the filing, is literally all we know. Is it a Destiny expansion? A new game? Your guess is as good as mine.

We’ll just have to keep an eye out.
