Build-a-Bear Gets Super Mario Stuff

As you probably noticed, the Holidays are just around the corner, and if you’re in need for some gaming swag for your lil’ ones, then Build-a-Bear workshop might have just what you’re looking for.

As revealed the other day, you can now pimp your bear with Nintendo-themed outfits, accessories, and voices. Your bear can be dressed as Mario (with accompanied mustache), Luigi (without accompanied mustache?), or Peach (mustache pending). If that doesn’t flip your bill, you can always give a normal bear a star, mushroom, or Super Mario World hoodie to wear.

If all those dressing options sound like too much work, then don’t worry - you can also just straight-up buy a Yoshi, Bowser, or Toad doll. The Mario bear also seems to be a full set, so you might not be able to slap a Mario hat on some random bear. Gotta protect your IP, I guess.

You can check it out the official Build-a-Bear store if you wanna buy them online, or maybe you can do it in one of their stores, if they still have those. It’s a bit expensive for a stuffed animal, but that’s just the kind of sacrifice you’ll have to make if you want a huggable Bowser. It's worth mentioning that these can all be found under the "Nintendo" category, which opens up the possibility of other Nintendo-themed bears... but I wouldn't hold my breath on an Earthbound-bear anytime soon.
