Unfortunate news falls on virtual reality enthusiasts and 60's investigative policemen alike. DRM issues with Rockstar's LA Noire: The VR Case Files have been preventing players from running the game at all, and it doesn't look like there's a solution.

Several days ago, various users started having issues with the HTC Vive version of the game. Upon loading up, the game will interrupt with a prompt asking to input the game's product key. When the user puts in this key, the system rejects it, saying it has already been used (which it has, by the player).

This lethal loop has left LA Noire entirely unplayable to those affected by it. This has pushed many to request a refund through Steam. Others have reached out to Rockstar Support, but nothing sustainable has been found.

Our sympathies go out to those affected by this glitch. Those who do not have the game but were interested in trying may want to hold off on the purchase until the problem is confirmed to be fixed.

We have reached out to Rockstar for comment.
