The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be receiving new bonus content and a side quest based off of the upcoming Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Nintendo announced this during a Direct regarding the unreleased Switch game.
Happening this Thursday, November 9, an update will release for Breath of the Wild to include a special mission Link can take. In doing so, you will unlock a new outfit for Link inspired by the main protagonist of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Rex. This update will be free to all players.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will also be following in the footsteps of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in their DLC methodology. The game will receive an expansion pass much like Breath of the Wild did (at the price of $29.99). Starting in December of this year, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will receive gradual updates until autumn of 2018.
Not a fan of English dubs? Xenoblade Chronicles 2's Japanese-language voice track will be available as a free download on launch day for those who prefer the original voice acting.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will launch December 1 as a Nintendo Switch exclusive.
