Borderlands 3 Confirmed Anticlimactically

In news that should surprise absolutely nobody with half a mind for business and a quarter of a mind for history, Gearbox announced this weekend at a PAX east panel that Borderlands 3 is, in fact, happening. This fact was so obvious that it was revealed by Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford when he said...

“It's no secret, obviously there's going to be another Borderlands."

While not much about the game was actually revealed, he did share that Scott Kester, the head art director of Battleborn, will be doing the same job for Borderlands 3. Mikey Neumann, the Chief Character Designer in Battleborn, will be head writer, which as you may or may not know, is a fact that makes me cringe deeply, as I do not care much for his work. But he was also the voice of Scooter, so that’s nice.

He added, of course, that Battleborn has Borderlands easter eggs, and that more will be added later: perhaps in DLC or by way of new characters? Who can say? All I can say is that this is predictable, a little disappointing, and I personally don’t care all that much.
