As you may or may not be aware, it’s currently Tokyo Game Show time: a time when Japanese and a few American developers get together and show off, you guessed it, games in Tokyo.  So far nothing has really rocked the earth,  except for one little trailer for a game you may have heard of… Bloodborne!

Yes, the successor to the Souls series has a brand new spiffy trailer in all its exclusive for PS4 glory.  Check it out kiddies.

Of course, there’s always a lot of new hidden goodies in every trailer for Bloodborne: in this one, it shows the co-op in action.  There are no phantom colors, it seems, which could mean that you don’t strictly have to summon players into your world to interact with them… and if that’s the case, it might create the terrifying prospect of your co-op partner turning against you when you’re weak to try to score some easy souls/blood/gold whatever currency they use in this game.

This is also the first trailer I’ve seen with people two-handing a single big weapon rather than dual-wielding smaller ones. Still no shields and I very much doubt we’ll ever see one, but it’s not unlikely a shield or two is in the game as a sort of useless gag, like whips in the first game Dark Souls.

Oh, and we also have a release date!  February 6th, 2015!   There’s a collector’s edition you can order with a metal box, an art book, and the digital soundtrack: a solid deal for any souls fan, but there’s no price attached yet.  In Dark Souls, if you pre-ordered early enough you got upgraded to the collectors edition for free, but they didn’t do that for Dark Souls 2, so… who knows?

Either way, the hype Is real, ladies and gentlemen!
