One of the most fascinating things about Dark Souls was that the entire game was one hugely connected map. From Firelink Shrine, players could pretty much see every location they would visit in the distance. And they were legitimately there. Players would have to actually cross that distance to see those places. It was a fantastic way to add depth and tone to the already atmospheric game. And it seems Blizzard has taken inspiration from that somewhere. In this case, though, it's hard to determine why. Two players found a way to break outside of the typical area in a certain Nepal Map. That's where they found the other maps of Nepal waiting below, completely devoid of any action.

By utilizing two Mercy characters with revive ultimates, they gently glided down to reveal the other playable maps in Nepal. There's one key reason why this most likely happens in Overwatch, and it unfortunately has nothing to do with creating atmosphere. Since Nepal consists of at least two rounds in two different maps, loading all of them ensures there's virtually no time spent loading a new area between rounds. Even still, it's pretty damn cool.
