Blizzard announced the incoming release of the highly anticipated Necromancer Class back in 2016 at Blizzcon. Thanks to the power of GIF's, Diablo 3 has finally given us some more information on how the Necromancer will look and feel like . Though they haven't given us a specific release date, they have told us to "stay tuned" for upcoming information on the necromancer PTR, stating that "the PTR for the necromancer will be a little different from other PTRs".

Blizzard said that we can expect more dark, controlled gameplay with the Necromancer, focused around the raw materials of life such as blood and bone. They are masters of reanimation and curses with the ability to bring the dead to life, and use them as their loyal servants.

Here is a look at some of the Necromancers skills/skill runes. Call it teasing if you must, but at least we finally have a general idea of how the Necromancer will be like gameplay wise. Although this information is welcomed, It's kind of strange to me that they decided to showcase the Necromancer via GIF instead of making somesort of a spotlight video. Beggars can't be choosers I guess.

Skill: Grim Scythe

Skill Rune: Death Nova (Blood Nova)

Skill Rune: Devour (Cannabalize)

Skill Rune: Raise Golem (Blood Golem)

Skill: Leech

Blizzard also said that they are planning to do a full release for the Necromancer as part of a content pack in the second half of 2017. No price has been announced the the content pack yet, but you can check out the Necromancer Q&A that was released back in late January.
