Snoop Dog announcer voice, anyone?

Can you imagine the possibility of Snoop Dog as the in-game multiplayer announcer for StarCraft 2?

I mean, he was featured in a voice pack in Call of Duty, so this wouldn't be the most surprising. Well, actually it might, considering the fact that the game isn't something you'd associate Snoop Dogg with.

Wait, why am I tossing out the question in the first place?

Well, apparently via Reddit leakage, a survey has been sent via e-mail to a select portion of StarCraft 2 players. And the details? Well, something people may not be too happy with - microtransactions. So, apparently:

"The StarCraft team is thinking about introducing purchasable items to the game in the future. On the next couple of pages you will see examples of items you may purchase."

It goes on to reveal examples of items that may be purchased such as:

Chat Emoticons:

"Chat emoticons are icons you can insert into chat. These icons are StarCraft-themed and can be used both inside and outside of a match.

"How likely or unlikely are you to purchase this pack of 10 chat emoticons for $2.49?"

Unit Skins:

"Skins offer a purely cosmetic change to the way your units look in Multiplayer games. Other players can see the skin your units have equippable. Usable in 1v1 or team Multiplayer only. Not available in Co-op or Arcade."

Announcers:

"Announcers alter the in-game announcer for Multiplayer, allowing the player to select from a list of characters from the Blizzard universe. One purchased, an announcer can be used while playing any race."

Choices included the following:
  • Alarak
  • Morgan Freeman (HELL YES.)
  • Raynor
  • Gordon Hayward
  • Day9
  • Snoop Dogg
  • David Kim
  • Hearthstone Innkeeper
Something to worry about? Perhaps, but it all depends on how Blizzard and the StarCraft team will handle the approach. Hence the survey, right?
