Anthony Lyristis (@YoshiYoshums on Twitter) has developed exactly that. Dubbed "Personal Space Invaders," this game imports the tweets of whatever account you choose, using the text characters as targets that gradually descend on the player. Earn more points and see more items drops for shooting down tweets that rank higher on the game's "Sentiment Analysis" system.
"I've been using it to analyze the tweets that come in, which generates a percentage (mean word to positive word ratio) which effects such things as power-up drop rates, enemy speed and overall difficulty settings, the fire breathing turtle rampaging across your screen," Lyristis explained in the game's webpage. "Could you imagine a free cup of coffee for finding the phrase "coffee rules" in a video game?"
Unfortunately, we won't be able to sample the game for ourselves. Lyristis expressed that he is unable to distribute the game in any sense, due to the usage of the Twitter developer API and the Twitter trademarks. You can see more screenshots and read about the game's development on its official webpage.
I wonder how hard it would be to play Tetris with LinkedIn Profiles.
