Half-Life enthusiasts rejoice! After years of waiting, fans of Black Mesa are finally getting the final level of the game: The Xen.

If you're a fan of Half-Life, the sci-fi shooter released by Valve in 1998, then you may have heard of Black Mesa. It's a modernized remake of the original game, developed by Crowbar Interactive. It was released on Steam in 2015 as an early access title. Fitting, since the game was missing the final world, the Xen.

In a recently released teaser trailer, Crowbar Interactive revealed that the Xen is nearly ready.

The trailer was in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the release of Half-Life on November 19. It's the first time the area is shown in motion, with only concept art having been released prior.

While they don't have a solid release date for the Xen, they're targeting a release for the second quarter of 2019. The game in its pre-Xen state can be found on Steam for $19.99.

Personally, I'm just glad to see the giant testicle crab boss in HD.
