Most of the news isn’t terribly surprising. They’re still hammering out the bugs and flaws, and are even sending copies of the game at home so people can play it on their free time. Unsurprisingly, the writer of the article, General Manager Casey Hudson, had nothing but good things to say about his first experience bringing the game home. It’s almost as if he’s paid to be there.
But for as much as we don’t really care about Anthem, there were two little tidbits clinging to the end that we do care about: because not only did he allude to some kind of future Mass Effect project, he also suggested that Dragon Age might finally be making a grand return.
If you’ve been following these blogs, or myself and Mark Darrah on Twitter, you know we’re also working on some secret Dragon Age stuff. Dragon Age is an incredibly important franchise in our studio, and we’re excited to continue its legacy. Look for more on this in the coming month (though I won’t tell you where to look…)
A full-blown game? It has been about four years since Dragon Age: Inquisition was first released, so we’re technically overdue. That said, considering how many eggs Bioware (and more specifically, EA) are putting in the Anthem basket, I would expect it’s something small: maybe a mobile game or some new comics or whatever. Besides, whatever new Dragon Age game is made… we all know it’s going to be some multiplayer live-service bull, right?
I’m not in a hurry for that.
