But according to Bioware employee Chad Robertson, that is not the case at all.
We remain 100% committed to Anthem and look forward to showing players the new content we are working on. We want to make sure we aren’t overpromising, so our updates on what’s coming in the game will be focused when we have things near completion… Along with @BenIrvo and I, we've got a big team between Austin and Edmonton focused and motivated for improving the game. We appreciate your support and for being on this journey with us.
Encouraging words for all the fans out there – if there are any left, I mean – but the question remains how true it actually is. Simply put, even if they were pulling support from Anthem, EA and Bioware would want to postpone releasing that information for as long as humanly possible, given how they’ve got things like investors that they don’t want to upset. So while it’s possible they still are 100 percent committed to getting Anthem right… it’s equally possible they’re just trying to avoid a premature panic.
Still, that’s all business talk. And I hope, for the sake of the fans, that it’s the former.
