Mass Effect: Andromeda was a highly anticipated title that's part of a fan favorite franchise, but it didn't do well to live up to its predecessor, and part of the problem was its bugs. When the beta was released, the community and internet, in general, tore the game apart because of its broken animations and overall bugs. Sadly, BioWare could not make the necessary changes before releasing Mass Effect: Andromeda, and because of this, the game suffered from relatively poor reviews.
Although the game evidently suffered from the lack of optimization, BioWare has released a rather ambitious patch plan that will focus on fixing the animations as well as lip sync, facial acting, and various other balances/bug fixes. The community is definitely not satisfied with Mass Effect: Andromeda's current state, but hopefully, this plan will mend some of the wounds the community has suffered.
Patch 1.05 is first up to bat, planned to release on April 6th, and it will primarily be dealing with the games most troubling issue at the moment: animations. Fixing body and facial animations for a game as huge as Mass Effect: Andromeda is no easy task considering how many encounters they have to work on through a countless number of secondary quests. While BioWare didn't deliver with the initial launch of the game, they are definitely making a great effort to fix Mass Effect's shortcomings.
While the first patch is launching tomorrow, BioWare general manager Aaryn Flynn has discussed further changes that will be coming to Mass Effect: Andromeda in the near future, most of which are addressing the concerns that players voiced in the first week or so of launch. All of these changes will be coming to Mass Effect: Andromeda over the next couple of months.
