On September 13th, Bioshock: The Collection will be available for purchase on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The package will contain Bioshock, Bioshock 2, and Bioshock Infinite, all with remastered graphics for the next generation of consoles. Collection packages might not be the coolest thing in the world, as the company is basically just reselling content, however if you own Bioshock or Bioshock 2 on your PC, you'll be in for a nice surprise. I don't know how many people still play around with the first two Bioshock games, but if you own either one of them on Steam before the release Bioshock: The Collection, you will have the opportunity to upgrade your game completely free of charge.

Honestly, after seeing some of the side-by-side comparisons, I'm not sure how much work was really done. I truly believe that some of the original scenes have better textures than the remastered counterparts. I understand the desire to have the latest and greatest games, but I can't say that this is truly worth the $60, personally. I hope that they've put in some added time after the reveal trailer to really go back and make things better, but I never really had an issue with the graphics of the original games.

Bioshock: The Collection will also include all of the DLC released for the games and will be priced at $60. If you have no interest at all in purchasing all three Bioshock games and you use a PC, you should get to the Steam store as soon as possible to pick up your copy in order to get the free upgrade in a few weeks. Bioshock Infinite will not be remastered on the PC because it already meets the standards for next-gen gaming.
