So, there have been rumors floating about for awhile now that a BioShock Remastered Collection has been in the works for PC and consoles. Well today, that piece of news has been confirmed by 2K Games.
This collection, which will feature a remastered anthology of bioShock, BioShock 2, and BioShock Infinite will be releasing September on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC and will include all of the DLC released. Not only that, but major fans of the series will be able to indulge in a director's commentary called Imagining BioShock, brought to you by director Ken Levin and lead artist Shawn Roberston.
The remastered version of BioShock 2, unfortunately, will not contain the multiplayer. Not only that but BioShock: Infinite for the PC will not be remastered "because it already meets current-gen console standards and runs smoothly on high visual settings."
The compilation is currently being developed by Blind Squirrel Games, which collaborated with Irrational Games during the development of BioShock Infinite.
BioShock: The Collection will be priced at $60 and will release September 13 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
