Springtime is here, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons continues to celebrate the passing of time with new events and items. This year, theyre celebrating cheese rolling season!
From May 22 until May 31, players can celebrate cheese rolling season by purchasing a large wheel of cheese, and what looks to be apple cider.
This is in reference to the IRL cheese rolling event that takes place every year at Gloucestershires Coopers Hill. The event involved tossing a wheel of cheese down the hill, while folks chase after it. Yes, there are a lot of injuries involved.
Its not clear if you can do any actual cheese rolling. It likely is a purely decorative item.
There will be a few other items celebrating various real world holidays. This includes Children's Day, Mother's Day, and Father's Day. All of them will be available from the season item tab in the APB shop.
All of the events from last year are returning, as well. This includes May Day running from April 29 to May 7, International Museum Day taking place from May 18 until May 31, and Wedding Season with Reese and Cyrus through all of June. Nintendo claims that there will be twists to the event this year, but did not disclose in what way.
The new content will be part of a game update available on April 28. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now for the Nintendo Switch.
