First of all, to clarify, it has been years since the last DOOM (DOOM 3) was released.

Since, Bethesda has been carrying the torch to the reboot of DOOM, which has been a tad quiet since 2008. Of course, there have been some gameplay reveals, including the one at Quakecon back in 2014, but information, for the most part, has been on the down-low to the general public. Until today, that is. Today, id Software has decided to tease players everywhere with a 12-second trailer, which leads to the announcement of a gameplay reveal on June 14 at 7 PM during Bethesda's E3 presentation.

Is the trailer jam-packed with excitement and hype?

Not quite.

This trailer contains nine seconds of logo and reveal information, and roughly three seconds of... of...

A shotgun and some creepy undead enemy? Firepower? Not much to really speculate here. Ah well.

I suppose we can just wait a little longer until the gameplay trailer to actually gauge what will be going on in DOOM.
