Halo 5: Guardians? Still fits. Black Ops III? You bet. Personally, I haven't cared about a game's cover art since I was eight-years-old, as I nowadays just know ahead of time what I'd want and purchase it, regardless of the cover.
Now, for those that are concerned about the box art, you should be happy to know that Bethesda has noted your complaints, and decided to change the cover art into reversible cover art, featuring the design winner from Doom's Twitter status. Yes, you can participate in a poll that determines the reverse cover. There are two options to choose from, both improvements: a demonic goat skull like cover with a black background, or a cover that resembles the old, iconic Doom cover art.
Clearly and thanks to nostalgia, option B is going to win. Not only that, but it just looks better than option A--it looks more like Doom.
"Help us choose the reverse sleeve for #DOOM. Poll is open for 4 days #VoteLikeHell"
-- DOOM (@DOOM) March 3, 2016
So you have one more day to vote!
Doom, which you can find out more about here, will release for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One May 13, 2016. Just a recap: it's the first game in the franchise not to be banned outright in Germany, and Doom will be featuring 1080p and 60fps across all platforms! Unfortunately and regardless of all the good news, the shooter will not include any base campaign co-op.
