Well chin up, sailor of savings!
Best Buy announced in a press release that they will be restocking their supply of the Super NES Classic November 25, though the product will be available in limited quantities. They will be opening their doors at 9 AM local time this Saturday and be selling Super NES Classics on a first-come, first-served basis and using a ticket system. Best Buy explains the process:
The Super NES Classic Edition will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Our stores will offer a ticketing process before we open for customers waiting in line the same ticketing process well offer for the Saturday doorbuster deals.
We will only pass out as many tickets as we have systems available, with a limit of one per customer. Super NES Classic Edition will not be available on BestBuy.com.
When the Super NES Classic released in September, it sold out almost immediately. This was strikingly similar to the release of the previous Classic system, the NES Classic. Since then, it can only be found by personal sellers at an exuberant markup.
Now you have a second chance to get this rarity at its (still somewhat high) MSRP of $79.99. The Super NES Classic will be shaped like a smaller replica of the original Super NES and be preloaded with 21 of the biggest Nintendo games for that console, including the previously unreleased Starfox 2.
