Microsoft seems to enjoy finding creative ways to promote their latest sea-faring title, Sea of Thieves. To celebrate the launch of the game, the company has partnered with Aussie pirate band Captain Hellfire & The Wretched Brethren to create a Sea of Thieves personalized shanty for select players.
They're calling it the "Sing us a Shanty" service, and here's how it works. Captain Hellfire & The Wretched Brethren will be playing Sea of Thieves online, where they will join players, singing shanties in their honor. The entire experience will also be live streamed on Mixer, Facebook, and Twitch.
The "Sing us a Shanty" event is happening on March 24 & 25. You can participate in the event, should you acquire a ticket. To do this, you need to keep an eye on the Xbox ANZ Facebook page. Don't worry, the tickets don't cost anything. They will be given away on a first serve basis. The page will be giving away tickets March 20 and are sure to go quickly.
Sea of Thieves will be available at midnight, March 20. Players can team up with friends on Xbox One and PC and set sail in a massive open-world filled with treasure and adventure. See you on the high seas, everyone.
