BattleTech, a new turn-based strategy game, has just unveiled its first gameplay trailer. In this look, we get to see a little piece of the single-player campaign that players will be able to partake in. The game was started on Kickstarter and ended up getting 2.8 million dollars from backers in 2015.
Now, we've gotten a chance to take a look at two separate videos that will both be posted down below. In the first video, we see the customization that is available on the Argo, you're giant home away from home. You get to briefly see the list of options on the side panel, ranging from Navigation to Barracks, to the Mech Bay, to the Command Center. Although we don't get an in-depth look, we can assume that there are going to be a ton of customization options available upon release.
This second video is where we really get to see some action. This is a chuck of gameplay from an in-game single-player mission that showcases the turn-based strategy of Battletech. You get to see the general movement, sensors, long-range engagement, up-close combat, an alpha strike, and the heat shutdown. Make sure you watch the full video, as this is something you don't want to miss a second of. The game doesn't have a formal release fate, but it will be available at some point in 2017.
