Battlerite Announces Upcoming Battle Royale Game Mode

Sure, why not.

Just when you thought it was over, another battle royale mode has declared their upcoming arrival. Battlerite, the free-to-play MOBA, has announced that they, too, will be releasing a battle royale mode this summer.

They do take more MOBA aspects into account than other battle royale modes usually do. For example, it will only contain 20 players, not 100. It will also retain its top-down view and controls. The map is reportedly 30 times larger than a standard Battlerite map, however.

Developers Stunlock Games describe success in the mode to factors such as players skill, map awareness, situational builds, and a sliver of luck. While I'm not arguing against him, this can be used to describe nearly any competitive game.

Each game will last 10 minutes, and players can select from 27 champions to play from, covering ranged, melee and support roles therein. There is a solo mode as well as a duo mode.

No word on specifically when this mode will be available, simply "this summer." So stay tuned.
