We don't believe it either.

I know this came as a surprise; it's a shock to me as well. For the first time in a while, EA has given away free content to players. Not even just free loot boxes - free playable characters! It's exciting! In the Resistance corner, we have Finn, an ex-First Order militia who turned his back to the dark side to help the rebels. And in this corner, we have Captain Phasma, the coolest-looking storm trooper to walk the star systems.

To acquire these two new characters, all you have to do is sign on during the first season of Battlefront II and they will be given to you without any need to turn in a credit. From the 20 vs 20 ground battles to the 12 vs 12 space assaults they are available and ready to enjoy.

But wait... there's more! New single player content was also released at no charge. Resurrection is now available to those who completed the campaign. This is a continuation of Iden Versio's path to power within the First Order. Some findings in the new chapters even tie into The Last Jedi film! Don't you love it when a franchise does that?
